Alumni Gala Weekend

We commemorated our 20th anniversary by performing in the Indianapolis 500 Festival Parade on May 29, 2004. When we were a competitive unit the parade served as our first public performance for each season.

Confirmed Participants

The Star Alumni Corps was comprised of approximately:

    131 brass
    36 color guard
    4 drum majors
    29 percussion

The corps was supported by approximately 40 staff members.

The corps' members came from almost all 50 states, Canada, New Zealand and The Netherlands. The Star Alumni organization currently has over 700 active members.

Uniforms & Music

Our uniform consisted of a magenta shirt with a white star across the chest, black pants, black shoes, and a black hat with the Star Alumni logo, which is on the top of this page. The uniform is an adaptation on the uniform many of the alumni marched in during the 1980's.

Proposed Uniform

Please feel free to listen to a clip of the music we will play in the parade. The music is Henry V, composed by Sir William Walton.
